FBI Tools - Custom Rules

Should you be facing issues with setting a rule to ban an email with an existing custom country rule and the transaction is successful, please see the following information:

If a custom rule is set with a 'Flag For Review - Indonesia', the transaction will be accepted:

This custom rule accepts all transactions from Indonesia:

If two rules (rule#1 with ‘Reject’ action and rule#2 with ‘Accept’ action) are applied to the transaction then system accepts the transaction.

For that reason the transaction has not been rejected by Email Ban custom rule.

While the ‘Flag For Review - Indonesia’ custom rule with ‘Accept’ action is enabled, all transactions from Indonesia will be accepted.

Because in this case system ignores other rules with ‘Flag For Review’ actions and rules with ‘Reject’ actions.

So now the functionality works as designed.

The main rule is:

  • If two rules (rule#1 with ‘Reject’ action and rule#2 with ‘Accept’ action) are applied to the transaction then system accepts the transaction.
  • If two rules (rule#1 with ‘Flag For Review’ action and rule#2 with ‘Accept’ action) are applied to the transaction then system accepts the transaction.
  • If two rules (rule#1 with ‘Flag For Review’ action and rule#2 with ‘Reject’ action) are applied to the transaction then system flags for review the transaction.
